I am asked all the time what it would take to bring me to your club or event.  It is reasonably simple, and not as expensive as you may think.

My daily fees are $300.00 per teaching day, plus lodging and meals.  I require mileage to get to you , and home, at the rate of .45 cents a mile, round trip. (.45 X Mileage X2)  I do not fly because of the medical risks to me.  I require one day's lodging after the class so that I can rest up for the drive home.

This of course is assuming that you are a large club.  Smaller clubs can still have me come and teach.   I will work with each club individually to negotiate a fee that is fair to all concerned. Smaller Organizations and Clubs may also submit proposals to me!  I will consider each proposal carefully so that  we can make it happen.  You club can also participate in a Scholarship Fund Raiser to bring me to you. See How

I offer two and three day classes.  The two day class of course is the basic doll pattern and the techniques and options that have become my trade mark.  Three day classes allow each participant sufficient time to complete the doll and costume.

I design a new pattern for each Club.  Based on the wants and needs of the club .  Kit fees are dependent on the class taught.

If we are to perpetuate the art of cloth dollmaking, we must be willing to share all we know about the art!
Example:

Let's suppose that you have a club with 15 members.  That club wants to bring me in for three days.  Suppose that you are 1,000 miles away from me.

Mileage = $900.00
Class     = $900.00
Lodging  = $250.00 approximately
Food      = $75.00   Pot Luck works!
Total     = $2,125.00

Divide that by 15 and that is less than $150.00 per person!
Two day classes would save you $730.00 over a 2 day class.
If you are closer than 1000 miles from me, then of course you save even more!  If you are a larger club, then you save even more!
Did you know that the Scholarship Fund makes provisions to bring Mary Tressler to your Club? Go over to the scholarship page and see how!  If your club wishes to have a fund raiser through this site to bring Mary to your club you can contact
